

Knowing Your Strengths
I doubt that anyone would disagree that it’s important to know your strengths. However, when it comes to psychological and academic evaluations, far too often the focus is so strongly centered on what’s wrong that what’s right often gets overlooked. I’ve performed evaluations with a lot of people who have been assessed once, twice, three, or more times before, and never been told about their strengths. You and me from start to finish
One of the things that makes my assessment practice at Brainsight a little different is that I do all of my own testing. Many other psychologists employ psychometrists—professionals who are trained to administer tests—to do all of their data collection. These colleagues of mine conduct an intake interview with the client, schedule testing sessions between the client and the psychometrist, who tests the client and passes the results back to the psychologist, who in turn interp
